2DTD – Update #2
Development on 2DTD has slowed down a bit. I have been travelling due to work and have not been able to find time to work on this project. Hopefully, I will find some time over next 4 weekends and will be able to finish this. I have started building ideas for my next game, but would want to finish this before on to more grandiose plans.
SharePoint Visio Stencils
Time and again I need to build SharePoint application architecture diagrams for customers. I use MS Visio to create them and I have found this site to have some pretty great stencils for the same. Check them out…
2DTD – Update
Work on 2DTD is almost nearing to an end. I plan to launch the Beta in next couple of hours. A sneak peek from the current game is below
2DTD
2DTD (2D Tower Defense) is my first serious game development project. This is a tower defense style game, wherein the player has to defeat waves of 2D minions and save the day. It has the typical features of a TD style game and a couple of more that I have added.
The development of 2DTD has already started and I am using C2 and building the same on HTML5. Will keep this space posted on the updates.
Construct 2 from Scirra
While deciding the platform of choice for developing games, I toyed around with various technologies. After dabbling around with various technologies, I finally concluded that HTML5 would be my platform of choice. It gives you the power of developing game code once and deploying on various platforms include mobile devices.
Recently I came across this amazing tool from Scirra called Construct 2. I played around with it for a few days and realized that it has all the necessary features for me start developing my own games. I started working on a few pilot projects and tested them successfully on PC and Android tablets. It worked just fine.
The best thing about using a tool like C2 is that you can focus on your core game rules and level design and leave the game engine to do the rest of the job. I will be posting a few of the games that I develop in coming days.
